Follow my website tips, and you will have a beautiful wedding website, that will be sure to WOW your guest and have them excited for the fun to come!
Pick the Right Design
The first step is you want to pick the right design. Pick a design that is reflective of you and your fiancé’s personality. Are you all more modern or classic? Or somewhere between romantic and vintage? Wix websites are by far the easiest website builders to use. And to put the icing on the cake, they have hundreds of themes to choose from.
Now it is time to customize your site. And to keep things consistent I would recommend matching your wedding website to the color scheme of your wedding. Not only can you select the color scheme of your website using Wix, you can also take it a step further and change the fonts and website design to make your site even more personalized.
Start with the Basics
Now if you are reading this, and thinking I haven’t figured out all of my wedding day details, why would I create a wedding website. Well that is quite ok. All you need for your wedding website, is your wedding date, and the location. Create the save the date page, to welcome your guest to the website, as well as provide the basic information about your wedding, and let your guest know that more details will follow.
Don’t Forget Your Registry
Don’t forget it is a huge etiquette no-no to share your registry information on your wedding invitation. However, your wedding website is the prime place to let your guest know where you and your fiancé like to shop. You can also add other sections to your website, such as allowing your guest to request a favorite song during the reception.
Set Up a Unique URL
This is my favorite feature when it comes to setting up a Wix website. You can personalize the URL of your wedding website. You can add names to URL as well for example (www.morelove2019.com)
Spread the Word
Once you have completed your wedding website, you can share the website address in your save the date cards or via social media.
